Bug generating XMP file names

Postby Bob Glass on Mon Dec 28, 2009 1:24 am

It appears FastPictureViewer fails to add the extension to the file name when generating XMP files for image files using a dot [.] or dots in the name. For example, for a file named "5DII_2009.12.18_4154.CR2", the resulting XMP file created is "5DII_2009.12.18_4154". The extension XMP is left off, rendering it useless.

I guess it's been fixed already. Are you using the latest version?

With the version (64-bit) I downloaded today, I get filenames with the extension XMP; in my case, "ddb 20100417 020-005-orig.nef" becomes "ddb 20100417 020-005-orig.xmp". I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64. So that seems to be working right at least in my exact situation.
