FPV screen redraw problem [ATI v11.2/11.3]

Hi Axel,

With ATI driver 11.2 I am seeing an issue where FPV is not redrawing the whole screen while viewing pictures; zooming, landscape to portrait, last tested version where redraw is working properly 11.1, rolling back to 11.1 resolves issue as does disabling GPU acceleration. I've included a screen capture below to illustrate the problem. Let me know if you would like any further information.

Strange indeed, looks like a driver bug. This issue should be brought to ATI support. The immediate work around is to turn off the GPU accelerated mode.

We reported this issue to ATI (service request #8200406821, no answer so far) but we traced down the problem to an (unbelievable) issue where an erase function did not actually erase the pixels with ATI driver 11.2 and 11.3 (for the record, no such problem with any of the previous ATI drivers up to v11.1, nor with any other manufacturer's drivers and cards).

As a result, the previous pixels were still there and the next image was printed on top of them, creating the “effect” you saw. We now work around this in our latest build (1.5.185.0) by explicitly filling the surrounding space with black pixels, which solves the issue.

The new version is available from our download page at http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/downloads/
