Website Bandwith

I've been trying to download the latest release for the past few days with no success.
the website has never been particularly responsive, but it's actually soo slow now that it times out on the download.
the average speed I get from fastpictureviewer.com is around 5k/sec
I'm on a 20Mbps connection the 2Mb program download could take less than a second.
Have you ever considered:
providing alternate download locations or..
changing your hosting provider.

No bandwidth restraint noticed here from Germany (downloading at ~2 MB/s)... Running at 100 KB/s through a proxy in New-Zealand... Would the issue lie at your end of the wire, maybe?

I'm using the largest ISP in Switzerland, I'm on their own network so the speed is obviously very good from here. Besides that I think MajorGeek and C|Net mirrors the 32-bit version, just check that you got the latest build.

I finally managed to dl it (using 64bit version here)
but it sure looks like my provider backbone is not playing nicely with Switzerland.
(tried a couple of ch domains they were all fast and responsive though)
even posting in this forum is way more painful than it should.
I guess there is not much I can do about it.
