Raw + Jpeg as a single icon

Hello,

Before buying FastPictureViewer Codec Pack, I would know if in Windows Explorer, a couple of raw + jpeg files are displayed as a single icon or as 2 icons. For example, ViewNX (the Nikon raw tool) can display his files in both forms; and this is very handy. It would be great if FastPictureViewer Codec Pack could do the same in the explorer.

Thanks in advance,
Phil

Actually, this behavior is entirely controlled by Windows Explorer, codecs have nothing to do with how Windows Explorer displays files and, being first and formost a generic file explorer, Windows Explorer will display each file with its own icon or thumbnail, no codec can possibly change that: it would require a rewrite of Explorer itself to change this behavior.

You can suggest this to Microsoft as a feature request but it is unlikely to appear anytime soon.

Photo-oriented application can behave differently, such as our own FastPictureViewer Professional image viewer, which stacks JPEG+RAWs and handle them as a single "image" for all operations including viewing, moving, copying, renaming, exporting, deleting, rating, IPTC writing etc.
