Enabling WCS causes dark image display

Postby MichaelEzra on Mon Jul 11, 2011 9:18 pm

Hi Axel,

I am using latest FPVx64 (Win7 ultimate x64) and tried enabling WCS using the registry setting.
I am using wide gamut NEC2690Wxi monitor calibrated with Spectraview II
When WCS is enabled FPV shows dark images.
When WCS is not enabled overall appearance of the images is correct, but there is a very noticeable color banding in dark skin tones - they appear with strong hints of green and blue.

on a side note, Windows 7x64 photo viewer shows absolutely correct colors with WCS.

Any suggestions appreciated!

All suspected rendering issues are always caused by the monitor ICC profile being used, or the monitor calibration. We recommend that you undo everything you have done to your computer and monitor regarding color management (reset everything to factory defaults) and start over from scratch, watching every step.
