Codec Pack & Registry Cleaner

Hi, like a lot of users I use a registry optimiser to keep my registry lean and de-fragmented. However I have noticed that whenever I carry out this type of maintenance I have to repair the codec pack installation! Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how can it be avoided apart from not using the registry optimiser?

It's not a big deal repairing the installation but why does it need to be done?

You need to ask this to whoever makes your "registry cleaner".
