Rotating and Cropping

Hi Alex !

Sorry to coming back on your neck, but I thought I check on since nearly a year passed.

Do you have any news on rotating and possibly cropping ? (rotating would be the critically important). I know the real target of this masterpiece software is not this, but once you said, you asuming you have to do this one day, so I am just hoping whether one day is anything close ? :)

Many thanks for your answer in advance,

Andras

Rotating and cropping is a step into the realm of image editing, which has immense implications (in particular with RAW formats). FastPictureViewer being simply a viewer, this line will not be crossed.

What is in the cards, however, if you believe the roadmap, is an export plug-in that will let users "Save As..." images in a couple of formats (likely, JPEG with quality control, TIFF, PNG) with optional rotation and sharpening.

This upcoming plug-in will be similar in spirit to the "Save for Web & Device..." plugin found in Photoshop, i.e. this functionality will not be merged directly in the main user interface.

Understood, thank you. i hope when it will be released, it is somehow can manage rotating within the main sreen with a shortcut or such, as that would make this masterpiece perfect at least for me. But even if not, I clearly understood what you had been told, so no more bothering with this.

Many Thanks,

Andras
