Sometimes when going through a massive folder it's useful to randomly view a selection of images. Would be great if the slideshow feature had this.

I couldn't agree more. Random shuffle would be incredibly useful, especially for folders with thousands of images.

Fast Picture Viewer is a slick piece of software. Great work!

OK :-)... The problem is, pseudo-random is as far as one can get from sequential viewing and image preloading would become useless (and perhaps cause some trashing)... but you got me thinking.

Pseudo Random would be just fine, and perhaps this can be refined in future releases.

I'm not sure how you've implemented image preloading but would it not be possible to use the random generator data to continue to prefetch images by stalling the display of the first image a bit longer? (a buffer concept)

Thanks very much for considering this idea.

In reponse to your suggestion, a random slideshow feature (Shift+A) was added to FPV Pro 1.6.221.0
