Problem renaming files using the file plugin

Postby Johan on Fri Apr 08, 2011 9:57 am

Hi,

I am trying to batch rename all the files by creating a simple rule in the file plugin that accepts "any file" and applies a renaming template using the date taken. The renaming template works fine when hitting F2 to rename a single file, but when using the file plugin to apply the rule to all files in the current batch nothing happens. The file plugin shows a nice progress bar and then appears to think it has done its job, but the names of the files have not changed.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Regards,
Johan

After a quick test with the current version, batch renaming seems to work just fine as far as we can tell.

Make sure the template you use with the batch processor is the same as the one that works when renaming manually using F2 and that the rule in question is actually enabled (it needs to have its checkmark set in the rule list, otherwise the execution engine just skips it)...

If the problem persists then contact support with full details (exact rule, path to the files, current file names) in order for us to reproduce the issue.
