Support for icon overlay

Support for icon overlay

Postby benison on Tue Oct 25, 2011 8:25 pm

Would like to know if the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack 3.1 support icon overlay as I am unable to find any settings for it. Without overlay seems hard to find a bunch of pictures in different format.

Codecs don't have anything to do with icon overlays. This is an Explorer thing, related to applications registering file formats as document types.

Nevertheless i support benison's request, even though the codec pack is not the origin of the problem.

It's difficult for me too, to spot e.g. psd's or eps' which are my working-files and for data-exchange respectively.
(Or perhaps you can tip us with a link to solve that manually?)

Again, there is no "problem". Icon overlays are application-level things, set by applications that actually create/edit those files. Nothing to do with codecs. Install some Adobe CS suite and you should get icon overlays on all file types handled by this suite (as decided by Adobe, anyway).
