Images in FPV appear grainy

It looks as if sometimes, when I edit photos in CS5, even though I follow the same exact procedure every time, and saving them as ordinary JPEGS with the color profile embedded, that FPV doesn't show the images exactly the same when I view them after saving. And by 'exactly the same' i mean, as if some of the noiseware work I've done is somehow not being observed, which is odd, since as far as I know once you flatten an image and save it, the work is done!

So, the images look ok in: Photoshop CS5, Windows Photo Viewer, MS Paint.

They look weird in: FPV, Quicktime Picture Viewer

Suggestions? I'm baffled.

also tried adjusting from the default: 'smart image resizing', and 'enable high quality image downscaling'. Same issue.

Tried also uploading said pics to the web, view in browsers, other computers - look fine there as well.

Sounds like a problem I had. If you have Use Windows Color System selected under Personalization, turn it off.
