Problem with video thumbs

I installed some other video codecs and now the thumbnail preview isn't working for videos any more. I uninstalled everything I installed and also cleared the Windows thumbnail cache, but still have the same problem. What do you suggest?

The technology behind the FastPictureViewer codecs (Windows Imaging Component) is aimed at images only and is entirely separate from video codecs. Our products have no effect whatsoever on video files so I'm afraid I cannot offer much help beside the obvious "uninstall/reinstall/repair" of the video codec package that you installed.
