Canon Codecs and Dell Mini

I realise this is more of an issue for Canon (and I have posted a similar query on a Canon related site) but figured someone around here might have some suggestions.

I need to install Canon Codecs onto a Dell Mini 9 (Win XP, 1024x600 res) but get an error message when I try to install the file obtained using the link provided by Axel which states my desktop resolution is too low.

Any suggestions as to how I can work round this so I can access Canon CR2 files through FastPictureViewer while I'm on the road would be hugely appreciated.

Try to connect an external monitor, set to some higher resolution, to run the Canon setup.
