The two products solve different problems: the Codec Pack is mainly a Windows Explorer extension whose main goal is to enable additional file formats support right in Explorer, while FPV Pro is a standalone image viewer in its own rights, with XMP/IPTC editing, batch file processing etc.
There is some overlap between the two as FPV Pro ships with the same raw codecs as those in the Codec Pack, on the other hand the Codec Pack currently handles ten additional formats - including Adobe Photoshop PSD documents - with more to come in the future.
Both products are designed to work well together and we recently started to offer an FPV Pro + Codec Pack bundle, where you can get both licenses together at a discounted price.
